ATTIC ADDICT

Forget basements. I wanna get all up in here! Long seen as the scary place no one goes to, and mostly used for storage, this attic begs to differ. Thanks to a bright white treatment and relaxed vibe, this cozy attic with natural daylight pouring in, is just the ticket to lounge, read, catch a movie, and work as well. Loving the angles of this room...and so private! Perfect for getting away from it all...

NATURES DRIFT

Been loving all the natural and primitive use of driftwood lately in many of todays home furnishings. Its a great and casual way to introduce these sea sculptures into a room that may otherwise read one dimensional. As of lover of the rustic and weathered look, I find these to be works of natural art and just plain beautiful. A great way to to be close to nature and all your coastal fantasies...

CALL OF THE WILD

Just some of the most astonishing and breathtaking photos of African wildlife I have ever seen. Nick Brandt photographs arouse deep emotion and are haunting as they are epic. I just love the atmospheres he creates with dramatic skies and all the graphic angles. It would be amazing to own a print of his, as they are from a world which many of us take for granted and one not all of us will be able to experience. Check out his book and his current exhibitions at Fahey/Klein (LA) and Staley+Wise Gallery (NYC). Simply exquisite...

Right after photography, interiors is my second love, and I have come to love the work and style of some very talented gurus of the home front. They all have their unique and diverse visions of what a home should be and feel like. Whether it be glamorous, sensual, modern, exotic, pure, relaxed or refined, these designers give it you all...quietly. And one thing is for sure its always beautiful...

VERSUS

This cologne is so old-school. I was actually in school when I had this...all over me. Couple of months back, I thought I smelled this on someone passing me by on the streets in Soho, NYC. I was immediately taken back to the early '90s...The look of this is biker sexiness, bravado and just plain intoxicating (photographed by Bruce Weber). Since its been discontinued, I always look for it, on my shopping splurges at Loehmans, Daffys, Filienes, T.J Maxx, and Marshalls...because they all end up there. I mean I still see Azzaro, Colors, Bijan, Red, Grey Flannel and Obsession up in there. But yet no luck. I was hearing through someone that Donatella was bringing the Versus fashion line back...maybe this scent will re-emerge as well? Lets hope so, because that's all I can afford from the pricey label. Until then I will continue my search in markdown emporiums...or if anyone has Donatella's cell number, text me.

DEADLY FRIENDS

Patrick Lee is a Los Angeles based artist who does the most beautiful and intricate graphite drawings on paper. He uses photographs that he makes of these rough looking men from the streets of LA as source material for these freehand drawings. The detail and realism of his work blow me away. AMAZING.
