GRUNGE

PHOTOGRAPHER MICHAEL LAVINE'S LATEST BOOK GRUNGE CONTAINS 160 BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BETWEEN 1983-1993 WITH TEXT BY THURSTON MOORE OF SONIC YOUTH. MICHAEL LAVINE'S ICONIC PHOTOGRAPHS OF MUSICIANS AND KIDS IN THE GRUNGE AND ALTERNATIVE ROCK SCENE HAVE BEEN INFLUENCING FASHION FOR YEARS, ESPECIALLY THE LAST decade WHERE GRUNGE REVIVAL HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE RUNWAYS AND THE STREETS.

AMERICAN HARDCORE

CHRISHELL

Originally from Turks and Caicos, a beautiful island in the Carribean, Chrishell Stubbs has been an inspiration for me since I first saw her polaroids while shooting with NEXT model mgmt in NYC, like 5 years ago...Now represented by FORD, she has finally been noticed by the fashion industry, namely Jean Paul Gaultier at the moment. My ideal choice for my La Isla series...xoxo her!!!

NEXT BOOK: FALL RIVER BOYS

In the spring of 2000, Richard Renaldi began making frequent trips to the small New England city of Fall River, Massachusetts. Situated just a short distance from the Atlantic coast, Fall River was once at the very center of American textile manufacturing. Renaldi’s aim was to photograph the young men of Fall River coming of age amidst an industrial landscape well past its boom years. This extraordinary body of images—both portraits and landscapes—is gathered here for the first time in Renaldi’s second monograph, Fall River Boys. charleslanepress.com

SHERRY BABY

Have you all seen this movie? Well I just did and I loved it. Ms. Gyllenhaal gives a real and raw performance, one that really "goes there." I loved the character so much that I will most likely do a shoot based on her...and I may just have the perfect girl for it, here in Dallas...Def see it.
