After a visit to Madeline Weinrib's gorgeous atelier located on the 6th floor of ABC Carpet & Home, get ready to be a fan of pattern and color. Vibrant ikats, Indian organic block prints, brocades, Moroccan embroidery, suzanis and original drawings come to life here. Just the most dazzling array of furniture, rugs, accessories, fabric and those to-die-for pillows! 
Just spotted: Vintage NYC subway signs at Restoration Hardware. Love the graphic quality to these pieces and would be perfect at the end of a hallway or office area. RAZ has his eyes on the Wash Hts sign for obvious reasons...

Although NYC is full of world class museums and galleries, featuring art and culture from countless genres, its "street art" is perhaps the most widely seen and most thought provoking of them all. Here are just some examples from my recent trip to the city that crossed my path. Catch them now, or else they maybe gone tomorrow...Whether in subways, alleys, or your neighborhood basketball court, the writing is on the wall and the images are haunting as the first time you laid your eyes upon them....

The San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy happens once a year from the 13th of September to the 23rd in NYC. I was lucky this year as I was able to be there when it was going on. Its always a fun and packed place full of food, rides, games, things to buy and of course lots of Italians! I love it for many reasons, but perhaps the best is people watching and eating all that fattening food. The whole street carnival energy that it brings to the area is especially exciting. Its a must-see Fall event, especially if you want to get away from stuffiness of Fashion Week! Okay..I need a pizza slice and some funnel cake...pronto!
