ART DIRECTION D'AFRIKA

So...... OBSESSED & POSSESSED with AFRICAN art, design and its primitive cultures lately. Its really very fascinating, so bold and so sophisticated. These vintage book and exhibition catalog covers are just brilliant. I really love them and want them all...the art direction back then was so simple yet so effective...not to mention that FONT treatment! Really like the layout of the photos, done very scientifically. Just LOVE the look...Gonna see if I can find 'em somewhere...perhaps the STRAND, or even the main library....

COLOR ATELIER

A couple of pics I took today while at work on the 5th floor at ABC HOME. Couldn't neglect this gorgeous corner of the floor with such jewel-like colors and scrumptious fabrics...a fantasy atelier fit for DRAMA! Had to document the look for you guys...It reminds me of the British rule in India in the 40's...European classics with Indian eccentricity. Now only if  I can shoot here...that may just happen...

AMERICAN HEART

I have always loved the mood and story line of this movie from the '90s. Starring Edward Furlong and Jeff Bridges and was directly inspired by legend photographer, Mary Ellen Mark's book Street Wise. Love it. See it.
